1872 - imagine the old western era of horse and buggy and cowboys and Indians. The Texas hill country, known best for its abundant wildlife, stray cattle, and wild horses roaming its steep hills and valleys.. Watering in the cool clear streams and rivers, grazing on strong native grasses in fields, meadows and hillsides. Taking cover when necessary under the majestic old live oaks and underbrush. The rugged men and women who settled this country were carving out their dreams. One such dream was the “Premier Ranch” carved into the ruddy sandstone to stand for over 130 years today. Many changes have taken place over the years but the Premier has withstood the test of time.
What the avid or beginning hunter really wants to know is what about the hunting. After each Texas dove hunt here in the hill country, the comment is made over and over “who needs to go to Argentina?” We have outstanding dove fields to hunt offering all the dove and shooting an avid dove hunter can handle. The hard part is to remember you have a limit!
